Chic for Cheap

While shopping at Forever 21, I usually head to the accessories department first. If I don't find clothes, which I usually do, I can always count on finding jewelry or hair accessories. So after a visit to the store this week I purchased a bunch of stuff. As you know, I love bows on EVERYTHING. While browsing, I found bangles with bows on them. They are very similar to Rachel Leigh's version, which I have always loved!

VS.

Forever 21 Version, $5.80 (source)

Although the Forever 21 version only comes in 2 colours, and the Rachel Leigh version comes in almost any colour imaginable, the Forever 21 ones are much cheaper and easily attainable.

PS: This is my 100th post! I want to thank all of my followers, friends, and family for your continuous support and hope you keep on reading!

Food Glorious Food

The Designer Cookie

I've always had my eye on a bakeshop near my house, the pretty pink sign with cursive letters made me wonder what's inside. I finally decided to visit the bakeshop, The Designer Cookie, on the weekend. This was the best decision of my weekend.

From cookies to cupcakes, they bake everything on-site. They also allow customers to design/create their own cupcakes or cookies.

One of my favourite parts of this bakeshop are the names of the cookies and cupcakes. Since they are called the "Designer Cookie," their products are named after fashionable brands.

Some of my faves are: "Cocoa Chanel" - classic dough with chocolate chips - classic cookie; "Christian Louboutea" - vanilla sesame cake with Japanese Matcha green tea frosting; "Lemon For All Mankind" - lemon-infused cake with cream cheese frosting and lemon zest; and "Chewy Vuitton" - oatmeal dough with white chocolate chips.

On the weekend they had a mojito cupcake which looked divine.

The Designer Cookie is located at 292 Eglinton Ave W.... I suggest you check it out!

Lemonade 4 Sale

Bright and playful, yellow is a great colour for the spring/summer. It has always been a favourite of mine because it brings out my hazelish-yellow eyes. Whether you add a yellow clutch to your LBD or LWD or wear a pair of yellow sandals with jean shorts, your outfit will be brightened up. Yellow is also great to highlight your newly bronzed skin!

Blue & Bows

Bows have always been a favourite of mine. I love bows on jewelry, clothing, and accessories. They're so feminine and flirty, which I love to add to my own personal style. Luckily for me, I have been noticing a lot of bows at Zara. The blazer I am wearing is from Zara, and I fell in love with it the second I saw it. I can't wait to dress it up, but for the summer weather I thought jean shorts would be a casual, cute touch.

Bow Blazer from Zara, White T-shirt from Garage, Jean Shorts from Hollister, Blue Wedges from Michael Kors

PS: I'm in love with topknots (big bun on top of my head), so you will probably be seeing it in a lot of my SnapShots to come...

PPS: Happy Victoria Day Canadians! Enjoy the day off!

Romper Kind of Day

One of my favourite things to wear this spring/summer are rompers. I bought 5 new ones this year, and they range from casual to fancy. They are so easy to wear since you only need to add shoes and accessories. The one I'm wearing is from Mendocino, and I also bought it in grey. I will definitely try to get my hands on a couple more this summer!

Black Ooyoo Romper, Theory Jean Jacket, Topshop shoes, Necklace from Over the Rainbow, Tiffany's Bow Necklace, Black Bag from Gap, Ray Ban Sunglasses.

Shoe-Craze: Top-Sider

Top-Siders Brighten Up For Spring/Summer

It's very hard to wear a pair of yellow boat shoes in the winter (in Canada). That's why in the spring and summer, you have to bring out the colourful pieces hiding in your closet. Thanks to one of my lovely roomies, Lauren, I fell in love with the new colours of Sperry Top-Sider's boat shoes. She just bought a pair from Nordstroms, and now I may need a pair too. The colours are vibrant and fun, adding some pep to your step this summer.

Are they too bright for you or is the perfect addition to your summer wardrobe?

Smile for J Brand

With the sunshine finally making an appearance this week, I decided to break out my newly, desired J Brands Houlian pants. After taking an interest in the cargo style, I decided to try them on at Aritzia. Little did I know, every celebrity is wearing them and they have been all over the news because more than 75,000 pairs have been sold, with 40,000 on back order. I guess I'm lucky I found a pair. They're comfortable and fit perfectly, which is hard to come by sometimes.

Have a great weekend bloggies!

May Showers Bring More Flowers

So I know the saying is actually "April showers brings May flowers," but it's been so rainy the past couple weeks in Toronto. Although I am not enjoying parading around in my new spring wear in the rain, I have great rainy-weather gear consisting of Hunter boots, a Mackage trench, and a Marc by Marc Jacobs Umbrella. Whether you prefer to classic or colourful in the rain, here are 3 looks that will keep you dry and trendy:

The Perfect LWD

Perfect for a dinner date on the beach or a night out with the girls, the little white dress (lwd) is the perfect choice. With a nude pair of heels and studded clutch, your outfit will be summer glamourous. Ranging from $30 to over $1000, the LWD is available everywhere from Forever 21 to Neiman Marcus. It's time to put away the LBD and enjoy the limited use of the LWD.

Accessorize: Ring

Put A Ring On It

Rings are a great accessory to any outfit. They instantly add glamour, style, and fun. My ring collection has grown significantly over the past couple months. I especially love statement rings, they are big, bold and super trendy.

Here are some of my new additions:

1.
This ring is from Sense of Independence in Toronto. It is a great piece to dress up or wear casually with jeans.

2.

I got this ring from The Bay, a Canadian department store. I love that it resembles a Kenneth Jay Lane Ring, seen here, but it was more than half the price.

3.

I received this ring complimentary of Jewelry Art Designs. I absolutely love it. It came in a cute little ring box and fits perfectly. Jewelry Art Designs sells rings, bracelets, earrings, and necklaces. They have a big selection, check it out!

PS: On my nails is Bubble Bath by OPI
