Fummer: the transition period between summer and fall. Although some people are eagerly waiting for fall merchandise to explode into stores, myself being one, others try to hold onto summer for as long as possible, even if that means freezing in flip flops and shorts. Deciding what to wear at the end of August until mid-September may be difficult because it’s fall yet the weather is still mild. An easy way to survive this short period is to combine both your summer and fall wardrobe. Here are some outfit ideas that will keep you warm or cold, and of course fashionable:
Look 1: Lengthen your body with an easy-to-wear maxi dress. Paired with animal-printed sandals, a jean jacket and hat, this look is great for Labor Day weekend or your first day of school.

ReplyDeleteIt always seems to be sunnier at this part of the summer than it is in the summer holidays! Typical British weather!
Love the sets, especially the 1st one!:D

"Fummer" sounds nice... Florida weather is ridiculous 4/5 of the year.
ReplyDeleteI really like look 1. I don't own a maxi dress yet, but I love the look of them layered with jackets, scarves, or chunkier knits. In fact, I prefer this way of styling a maxi dress than most of the ways people wear them in the dead of summer. I was in Forever 21 the other day and I saw a couple simple maxi dresses, I may have to get one and try my hand at styling one up with some of the things that I already have in my closet.
ReplyDeleteAh, Fummer! That's genius.
ReplyDeleteThese outfits are perfect. I like how all of your suggestions have interchangeable pieces too. Look 3 is my favorite!
