Happy Holidays!!!!

I hope all of my readers have had a delightful time celebrating the holidays. It's a great time to spend time with family and friends, watch movies, relax, and of course, shop.

Today is one of my favourite days of the year - Boxing Day. I hope everyone had a successful shopping day, I definitely did! Take your holiday money and treat yourself to something nice.

As Andy William's song goes, "It's the most wonderful time of the year." Enjoy it!!!

Stop'n'Style: Jeggings

Jeans + Leggings = Jeggings

Happy Holidays everyone!! I got caught up in the holiday spirit and haven't had time to blog lately. I'm glad to be back, and share some of the goodies I have received lately.

One gift I received were Jeggings. Jeans and leggings are my favourite kind of bottoms, so this combination is top notch in my books. I got a pair of dark denim J Brand jeggings. I have to say that are not only super soft, but soooo comfortable!
Great fashion @ StacieBlair
Most designer jean labels have created their own jeggings, here are a few different pairs ranging in price:
Current/Elliot @ StacieBlair

Citizens of Humanity @ StacieBlair

Joes Jeans @ StacieBlair

TopShop @ StacieBlair
TopShop, $60

Too tight/comfortable/expensive? What are your thoughts of "jeggings?"

StacieBlair's MUST HAVES: Christian Louboutin

Christian Louboutin Barbie

Who could think of a more perfect duo than Barbie and Loubs....

Christian Louboutin has collaborated with Barbie to create a limited edition 'Cat Burglar' doll. In a black catsuit and Differa sandals, she is the perfect gift for fashion lovers. She comes with a collection of 4 red-soled Louboutins, each with their own shoe box and bag. If you own a pair of Loubs, now you can get your Barbie a matching pair. I need one NOW!

Unfortunately, she is ALREADY sold-out at Net-a-Porter... but you can buy one at FAO Schwartz, The Doll Market, or of course Ebay. For only $150, I think I need one!

Techie Girl: Laptop Cases

Laptop Cases A La Mode

I love my MacBook. It is probably my favourite electronic, besides my Blackberry. If you are carrying your laptop, why not use a trendy case to put it in?

Personally, I am using a pink incase sleeve - it's a fun colour and protects my computer!

It also comes in orange, blue, black, red, and many more.

Betsey Johnson is known for her unique collections of clothing and shoes. This is definitely a fun accessory to add to an outfit.

If you're willing to spend a little more money, these Louis Vuitton laptop cases are sophisticated and fashionable. The case is probably almost as expensive as your computer...

This Marc by Marc Jacobs laptop sleeve is pretty reasonable. It has quilted logo lettering and an enameled logo plate. It is also available in a leopard print.

This simple, yet chic Juicy Couture laptop case is great because it has handles and a shoulder strap. It is a little more expensive, but also has pockets to store things other than just your laptop.

Shoe-Craze: Payless

Designer Brands at Payless

When you think of Payless ShoeSource, what comes to mind? Cheap, discounted shoes? Well recently, new designers have teamed up with Payless to sell high end designers shoes for the same economical price. New York designers such as alice + olivia, Lela Rose, Christian Siriano, and Stacey Bendet have designed shoes for Payless, all under $40. For designer shoes under $100, how can you say no?

Here are some of my favourites:

alice + olivia Patent Ballet Flat, $19.99

Christian Siriano Elisa Strippy Sandal, $29.99

alice + olivia Foldover Boot, $34.99

I am definetely excited to see what these designers bring in the future...What are your thoughts on these designs for Payless?

Stop'n'Style: Winter Accessories

Cute Winter Accessories

As sad as it is, winter is around the corner. It's time to put away the leather jacket and suede boots, and bring out the parka and heavy duty winter booties. The cold, blistering weather shouldn't get you down. With the right winter gear, you will be prepared for any frosty temperature.

Here are a couple of ways to stay warm while looking cute!

(1. Burberry, $125; 2. Anthropologie, $26.50; 3. Tory Burch, $95; 4. Dents, $145; 5. Rose' A Pois, $98; 6. TopShop, $25)

Don't these accessories make winter more fun? Stay warm!

BeautyBabe: Philosophy

Philosophy Products

"Adored by celebrities, dermatologists and, most importantly, their customers, Philosophy inspires you to live a better life by being better to yourself." Philosophy has so many great products from makeup to fragrances to skin care to bath and body. Their products are sold at Sephora or the Philosophy website. Some of my favorite products are:

1. These shower gels leaving a lasting impression on your skin. The set, "The
Birthday Party" includes strawberry ice cream, chocolate frosting, and vanilla birthday cake. They are so delicious! For all 3 bottles, it is $30.

2. Taking off makeup at the end of the day is not always

a fun activity. just release me, an eye makeup remover makes
it easy to take off mascara, eye shadow, or eye liner. It is not
oily, and will always leave your skin feeling soft! just release me costs $18 for a 16 ounce bottle, but is definitely worth it.

3. Perfect timing for Halloween, Philosophy recently released an ultimate all-in-one. i love candy corn is shampoo, shower gel, and even bubble bath. Although it is $16 for a 16 ounce bottle, the scent is tasty and will leave you feeling like a halloween treat!

StacieBlair's MUST HAVES: Bows

Bow Necklace

Now that I am back at school in London (Canada, not UK), I spent some time shopping down Richmond Street, in the downtown area with quaint shops and restaurants. I went to Leslie's, a trendy store, and after browsing the clothing, I found an adorable necklace. It had a gold chain with a medium-sized bow. It resembled the necklace below, which is in Rachel Leigh's collection and is $76 (http://www.rachelleigh.com).

Personally, I love adding a feminine touch to my outfits. A bow pendent necklace is perfect to dress up any simple outfit while bringing out your girly side.

Here are some necklaces in different price ranges:

Juicy Couture, $58

Marc by Marc Jacobs, $198

Tiffany & Co, $350

Stop'n'Style: NYC

NYC's Fashion Night Out

One of the biggest shopping events of the year, is around the corner and I will be in London, Ontario stuck in class.

On Thursday, September 10th, hundreds of retailers around the world will be open late for Fashion Night Out. This is a global initiative, and will take place in NYC, London, Italy, France, China, Russia, and Taiwan.
Unfortunately no Canadian city is on that list. That is a shame because retailers definitely would have benefited from my Visa.

The CFDA, Vogue, the City of New York and NYC & Co. have put this event together. As Anna Wintour told WWD "Over 300 stores citywide have signed on thus far, but I really want to urge everyone who hasn't done so already to come on board."
New York retailers have invited the public to meet designers, celebrities, DJs and sip on cocktails while shopping.

I'm pretty upset that I will not be in NYC, but I will live vicariously through my friends who are in the city.
I encourage all shopaholics and socialites to go out on the 10th to take advantage of this great event!

Food Glorious Food: Dogs

Bark & Fitz- Dog Heaven

I am a huge dog lover. I think everyone should own a dog, they are the best pet. I have a miniature poodle, and she is very special to me! I take her everywhere I go, she gets spoiled majorly whenever I am home. While shopping with my mom today, we passed by Bark and Fitz, and decided to go inside.

This store is dog heaven. They have everything from Scoopie bags (pick up your dogs poo-bags), shoes, collars/leashes, and even a bakery. The bakery amazes me every time I go in. I once purchased dog sushi, cookies, and today I even saw a birthday cake! It had frosting and "Happy Birthday" written across the cake. On February 9th, Muffy (my dog) will get one of these for her special day, no doubt about it. Here is a picture of dog cupcakes, or "Pupcakes." They look good enough to eat!
Bark and Fitz has many locations across Ontario, Quebec, BC, and a store in New Jersey. I highly recommend this store - since it is not just for dogs, but for owners as well. All dog lovers will drool!

Etc...: Anthropologie

Anthropologie 2nd Store Opening in Toronto

Anthro is probably one of my favorite stores. Living 5 minutes away from the Anthropologie on 5th ave in NYC, I was kind of depressed coming home knowing I can't walk to all my favourite NYC shops. However, someone at Anthro must love me and see my prayers because there are now 2 stores in Toronto, both within 10 minutes of my house!

There is one located at The Shops at Don Mills, a great outdoor mall with stores like: Mendocino, Micheal Kors, Coach, and many other stores and restaurants. The new Anthro opened in Yorkville, an upbeat, trendy downtown area.

I haven't visited the Don Mills location, but the Yorkville one is 2 stories and has the typical vintage, wood-embellished setting. They have bedding, accessories, and of course stunning clothing.

Go check it out!

BeautyBabe: OPI

OPI's NEW Fall Collection
OPI's fall colors have started to hit stores. As sad as it is knowing that school is around the corner, it is exciting to start back to school/fall shopping. OPI's new fall collection, Espana, offers a variety of colors representing the country of Spain.

Some of the colors include: Barefoot in Barcelona, a nude shade; Here Today, Aragon Tomorrow, a dark emerald shade; No Spain No Gain, a berry shade; and 9 other exciting polishes. My favourite color is Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees, a deep blue-grey color.

I'm usually an OPI-kind-of-girl, but recently my friend told me to buy Essie nail polish. I haven't seen their fall collection, but am quite excited for it to come out!

Web&Fashion: StyleCaster

StyleCaster - Discover your Style!!

Since the beginning of June, I was in NYC - the most wonderful city on the planet. I had an internship at
StyleCaster, the first style discovery platform website. I was a fashion intern, and got the opportunity to write a couple articles, style outfits, and meet a lot of amazing people in the fashion world.

Once you sign up, you will get daily emails with the temperature of your chosen city and an outfit suiting the weather. The site features news, daily looks, shop section, community, forecast, and video. I think it's pretty amazing, and I'm not being bias just because I worked there. They recently created a widget - which is super cool! You simply input your city and it shows the temperature and an outfit to wear (it's posted on the side of my blog ---->)

All of my friends that I told about StyleCaster LOVE the site, and go on it several times per day. Here is the link to sign up, CLICK HERE!

Go check it out! Let me know your thoughts!

StacieBlair's MUST HAVES: Marc by Marc Jacobs

Marc by Marc Jacobs Boots

With fall somewhat around the corner, fall fashions are starting to appear in stores. While shopping in Bloomies, I found a fabulous pair of boots:

Marc by Marc Jacobs flat leather boots. They also come in a tan colour, but I personally love black because it works with most outfits. I hope to get my hands on a pair for the fall! They are super comfortable, stylish, and who doesn't love a pair of Marc by Marc Jacobs pair of shoes? Also, they're not that pricey... $395 for a pair of designer boots is pretty damn reasonable.

Visitors in NYC Part 2

Sorry I haven't been around the past couple days, I was the tour guide for my friends this past weekend. We did a lot of shopping, eating, and exploring NYC. We all found some great purchases, there are a lot of sales happening, FYI.

Never having been to TopShop before, my 2 gals loved it. This 3-floor building is filled with stylish clothing for women, men, and even a petite section. They have a great accessories section with jewelry (I got a cool pair of vintage-style earrings), an amazing shoe section (I got a pair of light turquoise oxford loafers), and all different style of clothing. We honestly could have spent hours in there! The best part was, they have a 10% student discount! Gotta love any discount you can get!

Another thing my friends loved was Pinkberry. Who wouldn't love cold, creamy frozen yogurt with fresh fruit or dry toppings on top? It was a good snack for such a hot weekend.

Enjoy your week! Happy Tuesday!

It's going to be an amazing weekend - they have already created a rough itinerary. I have been resting up because these 2 girls are going to keep me super busy!! They arrive tonight, and leave Tuesday. I will keep you updated on all of our adventures, stories, and purchases, duh!

Shoe-Craze: Christian Louboutin

Love the Loubs

Known for his characteristic red sole design, Christian Louboutin, designs shoes which every fashionista wishes to own in their closet. His very pricey shoes include flats, boots, and pumps. But, why are they so popular? Is it because celebrities wear them? I, StacieBlair, believe that they are just so glamorous and will add style to any dress. Here are some celebs seen wearing Loubs...
Starting at the left: Gwen Stefani, Nicole Ritche, Lindsay Lohan, Anne Hathaway, Sarah Michelle Geller.

Don't they all look so happy in their Loubs? Well, maybe not Lindsay because she is not showing them off like she should be!

His fall 2009/10 collection is pretty fabulous, I suggest you all check it out! If you want to splurge (I recommend it), you can buy Loubs at Saks, Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman, and other Christian Louboutin boutiques. For my Canadian friends, don't fret, you can buy them at Holt Renfrew and David's.

Although I don't have a pair (yet), in the near future I hope to add a pair of Loubs to my wonderful shoe collection.

What are your thoughts on Loubs? Too pricey? Let's hear it!

The StacieBlair Review: The Proposal

I said YES to The Proposal
I know The Proposal was released into theaters a couple weeks ago, but I saw it this past weekend and adored it! Sandra Bullock is one of my favorite actresses and she was totally fab in the film. Accompanying her was the beautiful, Ryan Reynolds, who always does a great job at being the handsome hunk.

For anyone who hasn't seen it, (I promise I won't ruin anything) it is about a high-powered woman (Bullock) who is going to be deported to Canada (not a big deal, right?). The only way she can stay in the U.S. is if she gets married, which turns out to be with her assistant (Reynolds). They need to prove to everyone that they actually love each other in order for Bullock to keep her oh, so glorified job.

Sandra and Ryan were a great team together on screen and they kept me laughing throughout the film. Sandra looked stylish in all of her simple, yet sophisticated black outfits. Although it was a typical romantic comedy, it definitely entertained my friend and I.

What were your thoughts on the film? Love/hate it?

Stop'n'Style: Zippers

All Zipped Up!
A trend that has stuck around all summer, and now into the fall are exposed zippers. They can be seen on everything from shoes, to tank tops, to headbands, to jeans. They add a touch of chicness and edginess to any outfit. They also help draw attention to a certain area of your body. If you love your legs, buy a pair of pants with a zipper on the seam. All of the major designers like Marc Jacobs, Gucci, and Michael Kors are catching on, so it will be easy to find this trend in stores!

Do you like zippers? What are some of your favourite items with exposed zippers?

Food Glorious Food: Cupcakes

Oh So Sweet Everyone needs a little sweetening up in their life. After having been in NYC for almost 2 months, I have discovered some of the most delicious, mouth-watering pastry shops. Although they may not be the healthiest, it’s always okay to indulge once in a while! Here are some of the delectable places I’ve discovered…

1) Crumbs Bake Shop - They sell hand-made cupcakes and cakes. They are known for their signature LARGE sized cupcakes. Some of the flavors include: Nestle Crunch, Brownie, Butterfinger, Caramel Apple, and plenty more! PS: They even deliver to 48 states, sorry Canadians, hopefully soon.

2)
Milk and Cookies Bakery - They sell delicious, fresh baked cookies. There is really nothing better than a soft, gooey, chocolate chip cookie. Milk and Cookies even sells ice cream sandwiches, made with their own cookies and a scoop of ice cream. Their prices are reasonable too!

3)
The Cupcake Stop - If you’re a busy, on-the-go kind of person, just find the Cupcake Stop, a mobile truck selling cupcakes! They sell mini and normal-sized cupcakes, with flavors like: psychedelic tie dye, peanut butter and jelly, mint chocolate chip, and many more. This definitely beats the ice cream truck!

4)
Magnolia Bakery - One of New York’s most notable bakeries, Magnolia offers the finest in baked goods. They sell everything from cupcake cakes to icebox cakes to an assortment of cupcakes and cakes. Their flavors are unique and will fix your sweet tooth.

5)
Billy’s Bakery - All of their ingredients are made from scratch, and their menu is full of delicious treats. They sell cupcakes, cakes, cookies, bars, pies, and breakfast items. Billy’s offers traditional, specialty, and holiday cupcakes with scrumptious flavors.

Now that I’m sure your mouth is salivating, go indulge in something sweet! Are there any other places you can recommend? Let me know…

“We live not according to reason, but according to fashion”

There is nothing I enjoy better than to walk down the streets of Soho in NYC and visit my favorite shops. Or, in that sense, go shopping. The mannequins in the window call out my name and invite me in to their store to view everything they have to offer. Whether it is a shoe, clothing, purse, or home store I always manage to find something to buy. Ask my parents, it's no secret!

Shopping brings happiness! There is nothing more desirable than finding a pair of shoes that you've had your eye on for weeks, and seeing them on sale! The sales associate hands you a bag with a box filled with excitement, knowing that you have a new glorious pair of shoes to place on your oh, so perfect shoe shelf.

So, go shopping. Whether you are spending your recently received paycheck, your parent's cash, your future paycheck, or your own money, go have some fun!

I'd love to hear some of your most fondest shopping memories, feel free to share!

Yours truly,

StacieBlair
