Summer Looks... By Occasion

Whether you're heading to The Hamptons or Toronto Beaches, it's always fun to look cute on the beach. This look is for the girly beach chick who likes to look cute yet chic. Look above: Topshop Bathing Suit and Cover-up, Michael Kors Sunglasses and Bag, and Tory Burch Sandals.

It's always nice to take a break from work in the summer and go away. Sometimes more money is spent on getting ready for a trip, then actually on the trip. If you're heading to Europe or somewhere exotic this summer, make sure to pack a comfortable pair of wedges and a floral maxi dress. Look above: Miu Miu Purse, Chloe Wedges, Michael Kors Watch, YSL Lipstick, and T-Bags Dress.

Trend Report

Taking over Toronto stores, Equipment blouses are the perfect Spring or Summer piece. They can be dressed up for work or worn casually with jeans or shorts. With brights being a trend for the season, Equipment has some amazing colours, including emerald, sangria, turquoise, or bright indigo seen above. If you're in Toronto, check out TNT blu or Holt Renfrew, otherwise they're available online (Shopbop).

Michael Kors Fall '11 RTW

Yesterday, Michael Kors hit the runway for New York Fashion Week. Even though I couldn't be in NYC, I was able to watch the show online with some MK colleagues. His Fall '11 RTW collection was full of FUR, a natural colour pallet (grey, nude, camel, black), dresses over pants, platforms, and cuffs as bracelets and necklaces. I especially loved the lavish fur vests and coats that were shown in many different shades. Here are some of my favourite looks from the show:

With a couple weddings coming up, I recently started a dress hunt. I have been looking for a form-fitting, neutral-coloured dress and so far I have had a lot of luck. I actually tried on option 1- the Alice + Olivia dress, and I fell in love. With a pair of nude pumps, my outfit will be complete. Let the search continue!

Sprinter

Club Monaco Dress, H&M Knee-Highs, Forever 21 Clogs, LINE Sweater, Michael Kors Watch.
Even though snow is still on the ground, spring merchandise has started to arrive in stores. As excited as I am to switch my Uggs to flats, there is still quite a lot of time before I can rearrange my closet. However, you can transition into Sprinter (Spring + Winter) by mixing spring and winter clothing. Add knee highs to a dress (seen below) or a even tights under shorts. PS: This is my newly renovate living room decorated by yours truly.

The perfect mix of beauty and excitement, The Black Swan is about a ballerina (Natalie Portman) who loses her mind in order to prove her talent and ambition. Filled with an abundance of tutu's and ballet slippers, the costuming is dynamic in the film.  Natalie Portman played a beautiful ballerina, and above is an inspiration from the film.

Happy new year! I'm sorry I haven't posted over the past month, work has been extremely busy and I was away for NYE in Montreal visiting some friends. Anyways, with a new year brings new clothes, shoes, and shopping adventures. On a recent shopping day, I visited The Bay since I can always count on finding a big selection of Free People clothing. To my surprise, they had Spring merchandise on the floor. Full of neutrals, maxi-style, lace, and unique detailing, I tried on a bunch of pieces, and ended up going home with a knit sweater and maxi dress. Even though I can't wear these pieces for a while, they are definitely worth the wait! Above is a preview of Free People's Spring collection.
